Many times, on my varied working experience, I have been designated to lead specific projects: preparing proposals, reaching out to potential clients or liaising with the existing ones, dealing with stakeholders, both internal and external, and coordinating teams, ensuring that deadlines were met.
For an early example, my work as a blogger for Erasmus en Flandes was a one-man job: I was coming up with new content ideas, researching, scheduling and conducting interviews when needed, writing, filming and taking photographs, publishing and sharing all the content on the blog, YouTube channel, Flickr, Twitter and Facebook, and reporting back to the Project Coordinator, monthly.
Later on, while working at MAGNETIC, I was designated as the Project Manager for some of the channels I was managing, like London’s music store Rough Trade or the artist Lyona making sure the YouTube channels were running smoothly and new content was produced upon deadlines.
Working for CTV News as Digital Product Manager involved many project management skills and tools, working closely with other product managers, content, teams, developers, product owners, designers, customer care, and U/X experts and other business stakeholders to drive content and video consumption, increase ad inventory, focus on the customer experience and feedback, data analysis, and grow the digital news audience.
